1. Seychelles

First up, the breath-taking Seychelles. Nestled in the Indian ocean, these extraordinary islands can only be described as a tropical paradise, surrounded by crystal clear waters and exotic marine life.

From beautiful white-sand beaches and sprawling nature reserves to deep mountain rainforests, the Seychelles is a destination that is well-equipped to meet everyone’s interests, and not to forget the sun, which on average in the warmest months reaches an enjoyable 30°C.

So whether you want to take a hike, go for a scuba dive, or simply relax by the beach, the Seychelles has it all!

In terms of affordability, the Seychelles islands are known typically as being a luxurious and exclusive destination that only those of wealth can afford to travel to, which is generally the case, in part due to the travel costs from the UK which can take around 14-18 hours, but also due to the high quality, spectacular resorts across the islands.

For a 14 night all-inclusive stay in March 2022 for two adults it could cost anything from £2,700-£15,000 , and that’s without travel included, which typically costs around £700+ per person, so it could become a very expensive trip.

To compare, a more affordable holiday stay in a 3-star hotel would cost anything from £800 upwards for two adults, again with no travel included.

Unfortunately food is also known to be expensive on the island, so if you are staying at a self-catered resort then you may want to ensure you bring around £3,000 for your holiday in order to dine out at some nice restaurants throughout your stay.

So while an all-inclusive stay on the island may be the best option on your trip to the breath-taking Seychelle islands, you better get saving those pennies regardless in time for 2022 so you can visit this luxurious holiday destination and enjoy all it has to offer, no matter what hotel option you opt to stay at.

8. Dubai, UAE

A bustling city in the middle of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is known for its dramatic ultramodern architecture, beautiful beaches, fun water parks, lively clubs and a popular nightlife scene, which to no surprise attracts millions and millions of tourists every single year.

With the world’s largest tower, standing at a huge 830m tall, the Burj Khalifa dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline, standing high above the Dubai Fountain which puts on shows every evening, with jets and lights choreographed to music, which makes for a wonderful experience for all ages to watch.

10

Dubai is renowned for being expensive, and so it’s no surprise that a 5-star luxury hotel would cost from £700-£20,000. There is a large range of hotels and resorts to stay at that can categorise as luxury so it’s really about digging and finding the one that meets your desires.

On an affordable scale there are lower star hotels which can still give you that relaxing stay you are after. For a 14 night stay at a 3-star hotel you could pay anything from £400-£4,000, so again it’s really about hunting out the best deals.

Food in Dubai can be costly with the vast array of restaurants, cafes, bars and beach clubs that offer dining options.

We predict an average spending of around £35 a day per person, however this is sure to rise if you were to dine at only the finest restaurants and eat at the most luxurious spots across the city, which may be what you are looking to do on your stay in one of the globes most fascinating cities, so expect to spend more.

9. Turkey

Welcoming more than 35 million visitors every single year, Turkey can be described as a beautiful country filled with friendly people, mountainous scenery, a rich culture and breath-taking beaches, that line the exotic Mediterranean sea.

Oh, and who could forget the traditional ports and towns that are full of restaurants, bars and markets to suit everyone’s needs.

It’s not a surprise to see why Turkey is one of the world’s most visited destinations across the globe. With all of the activities on offer and the warm summer temperatures, only a short flight away from the UK, it’s definitely a great holiday spot to visit with minimal travel time, which definitely makes the whole experience more enjoyable in our opinion.

8

When it comes to where you could stay on your two week holiday in Turkey, a 5-star option could cost  anything from £400-£5,000 for some extremely nice hotels and resorts which will not disappoint.

With options for couples, groups of friends and young families, there are truly 5-star options for everyone. However, if this is not in your price range, there are definitely lower options available, which leads us to some 3-star options.

So, in looking at 3-star accommodation options, you could pay as little as £300, which actually isn’t much different from the 5-star hotels so it’s definitely one to weigh up when it comes to looking at spending that little extra cash for that little extra bit of luxury.

We would predict around £500 for food over a two week holiday, eating at standard restaurants for the duration of your stay, however of course, eating at more high-end restaurants would see this price rise.

10. Maldives

Of course, we couldn’t finish off our luxury holiday destinations without talking about the breath-taking and tranquil Maldives, which in our opinion is the most jaw-dropping destination of all.

Sat in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are a collection of thousands of small tropical coral islands, each surrounded by some of the clearest water across the globe and playing host to some of the worlds most sumptuous resorts.

Its pure beauty, white sand beaches and bright-coloured marine life, it’s the perfect haven for those looking for a relaxing, peaceful, romantic stay, with activities such as scuba diving and snorkelling to get involved in, and magnificent scenery to admire when taking in the sun or sat around a bar having a drink or two.

It’s famous for its sheer beauty, and is a holiday destination many of us have only dreamed of visiting.

9

So, how much would a visit to paradise really cost?

Resorts on the Maldives are known for their gorgeous settings, and with many of these come high prices.

In considering a 5-star luxury stay you should expect to spend around £2,000 to a huge £50,000 for those stilted villas surrounded by the crystal clear waters, with their own swimming pools and decking’s to take in the dreamy scenery.

However, staying in the Maldives doesn’t have to cost you an absolute fortune, with some 3-star guesthouses and hotels available for as little as £500, ranging up to thousands of pounds for those seaside hotels and resorts.

In terms of meal prices in the Maldives, these can vary, with the average cost of food totalling around £45 a day per person. So, if you were to stay in a self-catered hotel then you should expect to spend around £630 for the two week period.

However once again, if you wish to dine at only the finest restaurants then expect to spend more.
